CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT
I grew up a curious child. Wandering around, inspecting things, with the urge to learn. Even now, I am known as the friend who is always asking questions, thirsty for answers.
Watching people’s reactions to things has been a joy of mine for a long time. Reaction videos and playthroughs are the top categories of YouTube videos I consume. Human behavior is so interesting to me.
Another one of my favorite activities is solving puzzles. Word searches, Jigsaw, Sudoku, you name it. It’s oddly satisfying to feel like I am smart enough to complete something.
I am extremely organized. Taking detailed notes and finding places for storage is very important to me. It is very enjoyable to explore different processes for getting stuff done.
Juggling a multitude of things is apart of my everyday life, even outside of my 9-5. Part of my quest of self discovery is exploring as many options as possible.
Reflecting on my own actions and deciding how I can do things differently is a key value of mine. Friends and colleagues over time have said that my reception to feedback is one of my best qualities.
TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS
A big task that we all face is finding our purpose on this planet. The journey is rough for many. But the moment I feel that spark inside, it makes it all worth the wait.
For years, I’ve been searching for the perfect balance between my left brain and right brain qualities. I must be able to express myself, while also having structure.
I always had a passion for being a creative. Started with acting, led to illustration, then graphic design, then web design, then back to graphic design, ended with UX/UI design.
It was hard for me comprehend how to get into the UX/UI Design world. My formal education in Graphic Design made me think I needed it for UX/UI Design too.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
My years of design experience gave me the foundation I needed to take the leap. Life is too short to not be fulfilling your goals & ambitions.
Thanks to modern day technology, there are so many resources available for learning. I took it upon myself to not only do research, but take part in certification programs.
After spending time immersing myself in the UX/UI Design world, I realized I hit the jackpot. UX/UI Design allows me to combine my interests of asking questions, solving puzzles, seeing reactions, organizing info, multitasking, and creating.
THE ROAD TOSUCCESS
Now, I finally feel like I’m on the correct path after a long time period of uncertainty & settling for less. I encourage everybody to take a breath, trust the process, & follow their dreams.
